My FAQ's

Through out this process of my hubby becoming an Army Soldier I've come across quite a few questions. As I'm sure most spouses do. I'm the type of person when making a big change I like to be a little prepared especially when there are roots and where we are in our life. Owning our home, having pets, debt, etc. So here I will be posting any question I have. I will leave the questions up and provide the answers if I come across them or if someone is so kind to answer it for me.

Are we guaranteed to be able to live off post if we choose to or do we have to live on post being new to the Army?

If we live on post can we have both our dogs (pure bred siberian huskies) and our cat? Will there be a pet deposit (is it refundable)?

Is living off post like normal renting (deposit, backround check, etc)?

If we live on post is there a deposit on the house?

Do we have to get new state ID's/Driver License's with each state we are stationed?
Do we have to register our car in every state and get a new tag each time?
Are there hair salons on most Army posts (I'm a licensed Hair Stylist)?
Does the Army Spouse get discounts/deals on college without affecting what thier soldier gets?
How difficult is it to transfer 2 large dogs in 1 small vehicle when driving to a new base far away?
